Business Feedback Responses

Response 1 Do you think my logo fits my business idea and why? I really like the logo, it’s super simple and easy to read. Having the PR word in the business name also helps the audience to instantly know more about what the brand is. Having the greenery suggests that your heading down the eco-friendlier route as well which reflects from your value statement which is nice.   Are my mission/vision/value statements effective and why? More recently than ever more businesses are striving to become more eco-friendly so you definitely have an effective set of statements that would tick boxes for your customers.   Do you think my business idea is financially viable? Yes! The arts are really up and coming in East Anglia so this is a business that can grow in the coming years. Events like the First Light Festival in Lowestoft are growing each year and there are certainly people wanting more community events like this especially after Covid. Families are wanting local acti...

Logo drafts document

Image
Logo drafts drawn versions I originally drew a variety of concept designs to try and find a logo that suited my business. These logos followed a theme of relating to the name of the business, all including a floral theme to the imagery used. The decisions I made across all these designs was to use a serif font, one that gave the impression of being handwritten. I also chose the colours used to be black, green and purple. Black for the font to be clearer, green for the eco-friendly elements of the business and purple to imply creativity, as that is the main market for the business. My favourites of these designs are the wreath style one, it gives a distinct shape and fits my idea for the business. Mood board Digital drafts I also made some digital designs of the different potential designs, incorporating the colours and font style I had decided on. Final Design For the final design of my logo, I have encompassed all of my initial ideas, including the floral wreath, font and colour...

Financial breakdown

Financial breakdown The main source of revenue from my business would be the project incomes, the income amount would vary dependant on the length and payment plan of the project. This creates several revenue streams as there can be income from running and managing events, running social media and marketing, creating several revenue streams. Once the business has grown, staff could also create another revenue stream by assisting other events through tasks such as stewarding, generating more income. Due to the nature of the business, prices would vary significantly. Event projects would be within the bracket of £2,500 to £5,000, while smaller social media and marketing contracts would be £1,500 to £2,500. If the business was to do 2 major event projects in the year, 3 social media contracts and 2 small scale events, that as an estimate would be £4,000 per large project, £1,500 per social media contract and £2,500 for smaller events. Resulting in £17,500 for the year. Since P...

Business Analysis

Business Analysis Case Study Analysis The researched business that most inspires my idea is Emma Holland PR, it has similarities to my business such as having a creative sector focus, with Emma Holland PR specifically focusing on promoting theatre productions. This further inspires my business as it was a business started independently by Emma Holland, showing the success an independent PR company with a creative niche can have. This PR company will influence my business idea as it shows that working in promoting in the creative sector is viable, meaning I will continue to have this as the demographic of my business as well. The aspects of Emma Holland PR that I aim to adapt and expand on is the value the business has on industry relationships, I aim to also focus on building relationships within my business but would expand this past just industry connections and focus on building relationships with the local community, integrating my business into the local area as this is ...

Stop motion task

Image
Evaluation Our task was to create a stop motion short film as a group skills development task. We first decided on using lego to build the setting and characters, as we began to think of a plot, the set and characters were built. We then began taking photos for the start of the film. Some of the aspects i liked of the project where the movement and setting, the plot follows a linear setting as a characters moves through a town, this format worked well and allow the story to continue, however this was also time consuming as it took many photos to show the character moving from one spot to another, resulting in more filming time being needed than expected. Another issue we had was consistency, between some shots, setting or characters would move abruptly due to movement during filming that we didn't notice. Another issue was some shots being blurry due to the closeness to the characters and set stopping the camera from focusing. If I was to redo this project, i would be mindful of ...

Unit 1: Task 5

Neva Morrison Task 5 Intellectual Property Intellectual property is the legal protection of someone’s work/art, this can refer to inventions, literature and artistic work. This can also include designs, logos, symbols and names. Intellectual property offers legal ownership of one’s ideas through copyright, patent and trademark, allowing creators financial benefit when their creation is used as well as granting them recognition for what they have created. Copyright (creative pieces, i.e., written work, moving image work, music, etc.) Copyright is an aspect of intellectual property that grants the copyright owners sole legal rights to copy and distribute the intellectual property, copyright is often only granted for a limited timeframe. Copyright often refers to creative work so the intellectual property that it covers is typically artistic, literary or in musical form.     Trademarks Trademark refers to intellectual property that consists of a recognisable ...
