Evaluation
Our task was to create a stop motion short film as a group skills development task. We first decided on using lego to build the setting and characters, as we began to think of a plot, the set and characters were built. We then began taking photos for the start of the film. Some of the aspects i liked of the project where the movement and setting, the plot follows a linear setting as a characters moves through a town, this format worked well and allow the story to continue, however this was also time consuming as it took many photos to show the character moving from one spot to another, resulting in more filming time being needed than expected. Another issue we had was consistency, between some shots, setting or characters would move abruptly due to movement during filming that we didn't notice. Another issue was some shots being blurry due to the closeness to the characters and set stopping the camera from focusing. If I was to redo this project, i would be mindful of this issue and have a way to mark the placement of set and character so that they were consistent across all shots, I would also aim to monitor the camera placement to make sure photos were in focus.
